How do you define culture in your mind?

Hod do you basically define the culture of a nation.

Do you define culture as an everyday way of living and mentality or as old traditions of dances, costumes, food, buildings, moral values, division of families and people, epic stories and legends etc?

To me , what defines a countries culture is the language , common language means you have a sense of belonging because everyone speaks your language . Secondly the flag of the nation , tradition , and the way people so things . Which is why it's easy to differentiate a French from a German and a German from a Austrian , or a British to a American or a Chinese to a Japanese.

Religion also is a factor to me, because it helps shapes the identity of of the nation and its people

Language - Genetics - Mindset -

1) Speak the same language
2) Had your family into that culture for many generations and mixed with each other.
3) Have a general agreement inside the culture about the direction the culture is heading.

These 3 points are vital, if one of them is broken it isn't a culture but a group of people heading to destruction or who knows what.

Culture to me is the collective peoples Routine and way of life.

If two people lifestyle is more similar then they are culturally more similar to me
However some people also like to break it down to language food and music.


In modern times even though two people have two different heritage they can be culturally more similar. In multi ethnic countries two people of different heritage can be more culturally similar than those from the ancestors place of origin. because there is a mainstream national culture in which they share much similarities

Eat same foods from same culture. Speak a national language. Have certain same national holidays that others from their own place of origin may not celebrate.
Watch same entertainments. May understand certain slang others from the ancestors former country may not understand. Ect. But they can still be distinguishable because for example. An american Latino May eat some stuff like hamburger ect hot dog whatever typical american stereotype food. But He may also eat his own ethnic groups food as well. So their becomes overlap to some degree. They may also listen to both mainstream music common in their country. But listen to other music that because of another language, they can listen to and other groups don't understand.
