    How comes Normandy is different from others french areas ethnically speaking
    It's not. It just isn't. There's really little for a debate about it, it's a thoroughly moronic notion.

    There has been in the past a Norman political and historical identity (to a certain extent, even the tapestry of Bayeux refers to the Norman army as 'the Franks'), which in some ways is ethnogenetic, but there's never truly been a Norman ethnicity in how we think about it now. Certainly not into modern times.

    On Anthrogenica they discussed Cotentin and Dieppe DNA samples and some of them score very Nordic apparently.

    As in they cluster with Dutch/English and not other Normans?
