"Central Greek" sample is a mixture of mainlanders and islanders, and matches quite well people from the North Aegean islands. So this person is basically half North Aegean islander, half Ukrainian.

They are much closer to the Thessalian Greek sample if you look at the distance which is, in turn, roughly halfway between Sicilians and Macedonians themselves (the distances show this) because Thessalians are slightly Slavicized.

Thessalians might be 15% Slavic. When using Thessaly as a reference versus Central Greek, this Macedonian is 15% more Greek on the calculator, and the Slavic influence is what probably makes the difference between them.

We are talking about Balkans, Med, etc.. Roman Europe, not Persia.

Eastern European influence as a whole in thessaly is less than 15% which means about the half is Slavic
