How so? The Bible presupposes an omnipotent God. Why can an omnipotent God not change His law and the results of disobeying that law if and when He sees fit?

Because genetics. Thats why. Inbreeding will bottle neck a population and increase chance for Genetic diseases to spring up. It happens in dog breeds and populations which have more incidence of inbreeding

I'm aware of that. But you're missing the philosophical component. An omnipotent God renders those things meaningless. As if such a God can't control genetics? Whether you believe there is such a God is another issue entirely. Presupposing His existence, as the Bible does, means there is no contradiction.

If God wants you to fuck your sister, you're going to fuck her. You have no way around it and so buck up and fuck your sister. The child will turn out however God wants it to turn out.

It is a contradiction. The bible revolves around god. Everything thats believed about god is based on the bible.
If god is supposed to be supernatural of doing anything and all powerful. he is supposed to be able to do something like control genetics. "God" can't but scientists are in the early stages of doing it. It is humans not god controlling genetics

I feel like Annie Sullivan trying to explain the concept of water. The Bible doesn't say God has or will eliminate genetic problems. But the idea that he couldn't have controlled them at a time when He said incest was okay doesn't make sense.

It doesnt have to directly say God would want to get rid of genetic problems. Its a genetic harzard. At those times when science wasn't as mature as today people just regarded people with genetic defects as abominations. Even they were just people who were suffering and unfortunate. So god would have fixed that issue if he was real. God actually genocides mass populations and causes a flood because he considered them abominations ( for other reasons in the bible)

Now you're arguing God's existence. That was never my claim. There is no biblical reason why God would eliminate one of the negative consequences of original sin.

He punishes people for sins. So does that imply he has malicious intentions??
