The Albanians, these tigers of mountain wars ... have as their religion rebellion. Even their worst warrior is one of the strongest and bravest on the battle-field, just as if he was a knight on the legendary horse. But he has no horse, nor proper weapons for battle. Instead of the horse, he has a lance which strikes as lightning, he has spears who's points are full of posion as the sting of hornets, he has also a wooden bow with some arrows. Furthermore, he is stronger than iron ...

It's pretty gross. This is why I prepare my own food.

I was raised on Shish Kabab for special occasions, and didn't see much of the Doner Kababs and Shawarma. We used lamb chunks, with chunks of bell pepper, onion and tomatoes. Sometimes we used a backyard charcoal grill. The nearby Afghan Restaurant (Kabul) makes them the same way, with big chunks of meat on metal skewers. I've tried Shawarma more recently, and enjoyed it very much.

My Kebap days are over ... not entirely true but there was a time when I ate them much more than I do now.
But yeh Kebaps can be very delicious I have eaten all kinds.
Lots Turkish Kebab places all over Sydney and Lebanese places that do good lamb shish rolls.
I ate some really good Turkish Kebab in Vienna when I spent 3 months there.
I also like Persian kebabs they are usually served with rice.
I have had good Armenian Kebob in Glendale California.

I probably have never eaten kebab.
What we call kebab here in Greece is this:
Which isn't the kebab in its usual form, which in it's turn is like gyros (although it's served differently from gyros).
But I usually eat it with pork meat. It's quite good.
