You remember when the Simpsons were still a good show and the episodes were new. I only remember the same good old episodes being broadcast on our television when they were years old (episodes from the early 90s in the late 90s).
Relative to us, Eastern Europe lagged even more behind.

I remember 2004 when I first spoke to a Lithuanian online and he was overly excited at finally being able to speak to people from different countries with this newest invention, the internet. A déjà-vu for myself in 1998.
I know I sound like a stereotypical 'Dutchling' who obsesses too much about Anglo cultures. Ah well. It's our curse I guess.

According to Strauss and Howe, Second turnings (hippie era, the Sixties) are the totally opposite of Fourth turnings (now, where people are right wings and want order), the same way First Turnings (era of rebirth and enthousiasm, the early Fifties) are the complete opposite of Third Turnings (Gen X, nihilism, carelessness, the nineties)
