Unfortunately, there is no evidence of the dismantled railway by the car park. The only sign I could find is that the large yellow building is a pub called "The Usk Railway".
Sennybridge is also where the main SAS training camp is situated. It's also famous for this

No, the area is very wet and cold, so they use the area for survival training.

    Default North Wales

English engineering at it's best - the castle, not the bridge.

The footprint of the house is probably small because I think there was a high tax on houses. They got round this by making the ground floors very small and the upper floors substantially bigger.

Wales is much more characterised by its uplands than England, hills like these are found in the Lake District in England.

Some pictures of my vacation in Wales this summer. I really liked the country and visited a lot of towns.
Sorry because I don't have much time to write a few paragraphs but as in England I found a fantastic landscape with historical places a very friendly people.

    Tintern Abbey

    Wye river in Tintern

    Monmouth

Breacon Canal at bridge 122 aka Fro bridge, Crickhowell

Breacon Beacons National Park in one of it's highest locations, Upper Chapel

Rhiwarth Valley(Cwm Rhiwarth) between Llangynog and Bala

Snowdonia National Park between Llangynog e Bala

    Bala lake

    Beddgelert

    Beddgelert

White oak leaf, national symbol of Wales

Celyn Lake(Llyn Celyn), looks like São Miguel highlands in the azores.

    Caenarfon, Gwynedd county

    Caenarfon castle, beautiful place.

    Conwy, the lower gate.

    Espero que gostes disto Uhtred

I might go to Wales for a weekend soon, haven't been for long in years (just pass through occasionally) and it should be cheap now tourist season is over. I don't mind the rain.
