English engineering at it's best - the castle, not the bridge.
The footprint of the house is probably small because I think there was a high tax on houses. They got round this by making the ground floors very small and the upper floors substantially bigger.
Wales is much more characterised by its uplands than England, hills like these are found in the Lake District in England.

Some pictures of my vacation in Wales this summer. I really liked the country and visited a lot of towns.
Sorry because I don't have much time to write a few paragraphs but as in England I found a fantastic landscape with historical places a very friendly people.

I might go to Wales for a weekend soon, haven't been for long in years (just pass through occasionally) and it should be cheap now tourist season is over. I don't mind the rain.
