In that view you can roughly estmate height-breadth index of the head so they are tapeinocephalic (low head in relation to breadth) and akrocephalic (high head in realtion to breadth).


Hypsicephalic / chamaecephalic means high or low head in relation to its length. It is height / length index.


You can measure head height alone but without other diamemters you don't have any clue what is the relative head shape.
