Default @ Egyptian...Egyptian saying "ya sater ya rab" is from Ptolemy time

The Egyptian phrase "ya saater yaa rab" ("Oh god, oh saviour") is not from Arabic but from Egyptian. The same 'sater' (saviour) term was a title of Ptolemy:

Sater is one of Allah's names like Prophet Muhammed PBUH once said إن الله حيي ستير .. , you can find many egyptians called (Abdul Satar) which is kinda wrong i guess , it should be Abdul Sater

Anyway , Sater means (who cover our faults and mistakes) , we humans do a lot of mistakes and Allah don't expose it.

subhanallah...Islam answers all my questions. The whole concept just came to me coincidentally, I heard 'ya sater' and thought "isnt it similar to the title of Ptolemy I? before, I thought Soter was just a greek title, but now I realize Ptolemy was doing typical fir'oon stuff and attributing Allah to himself.

I think it hhas something to do...The Ptolemy heard it mentioned in Egypt and took it for himself. Just my theory

Also a 'saviour' is the same as 'hiding your faults'

Almir Melke Sater is a brazilian musician:

I think Sater should be a common surname among syro-lebaneses.

These gayreeks here are too busy in the defensive against Balkan, Turks etc...they are traumatized and defensive. We need scholarly Greeks to research this.

btw, you're right...Ptolemaic Egypt was very bad for the AE economy, the Ptolemaic Greeks taxed Egypt harder than any other occupier until today.
