Any ancient civilisation with “sky people” granting them with power and knowledge is going to attract ancient astronaut theorists. Ancient Aliens is believable if you take it further back to say, Sumeria, or the very beginning of Egypt. Or even further back before writings were sparse and many cultures didn't have a written language.
The Greeks, Pontus, Macedon, their cultures were meticulous record keepers who would have kept more than just a few carvings and statues to document spaceships touching down.
However, the very first episode of
Ancient Aliens addresses the Antikythera mechanism. There is zero explanation for why a device that, in its time would have been considered a treasure worthy of royalty, was being tossed on a dump of a boat with nobody writing about it, ever.
The message is there's a handful of retards who fell for a bunch of conspiracy theories, nothing new or groundbreaking.
It's not like Greek inscriptions are hard to make, Roswell glyph is probably bullshit.
Eleftheria (Freedom) is written with EY (a digraph that is pronounced F) not with Φ (which is the equivalent of F). The correct spelling would be ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑ.
Not to mention that ancient Greeks, Mayans, and Aztecs all drew eerily similar faces on things. Except they were drawing corpse faces. There is a big rabbit hole in the Greek conspiracy blogs that ties the logic behind early civilisations in the Mediterranean with the Antikythera device and the Roswell UFO.
According to these blogs, Greece is also in possession of key entrances to the Hollow Earth. The old psychiatric hospital in Mt. Parnitha is haunted and there is a cave in Mt. Pentelicus where time flows differently. Conspiracy is fueled by the fact that the army guards it. Some houses in Crete and the Eastern Aegean Islands may have gold hidden in their walls/foundation so the Ottomans couldn't be able to find it.
These theories are more comparable to books written by Dimosthenis Liakopoulos (a Greek TV book salesman who writes loads of worthless stuff where he mixes Ancient Greek history and mythology with Orthodox Christian tradition and UFO stuff, Greek version of Erich von Däniken), Nikos Konstantinidis and Stefanos Chios (known for peddling jewish/globalist conspiracy theories similar to now defunct
Echo TV shows in Hungary).
