Default Regions of otherwise similar countries that have little to do with one another.

For example, people might compare southern Italy to Greece, but Epirotes, Thracians, Thessalians, and Macedonians have little to nothing to do with southern Italians, do not resemble them, and are not genetically close.

Another example might be Denmark and Norway, but Greenland is part of Denmark and the people and culture are Inuit, and thus are virtually unrelated to Norwegians.

What about comparing Epirotes, Thracians, Thesalians, and Macedonians to Central Italians? I think they'd be somewhat more similar compared with Sicilians or Calabrians & the above listed groups.

Epirus to Albania. Thrace, Macedonia, and Thessaly to Bulgaria. The rest of Greece can then be compared more to Italy.
