I'm sorry Iraq was destroyed, and that Saddam was executed. I think it was extremely heavy-handed. But Saddam should have thought about invading Kuwait, dumping the petrodollar etc. more carefully. I know there are theories surrounding Saddam's decision to take Kuwait and other ideas on why middle eastern nation states are being flattened one after another, but maybe, just maybe, if he hadn't done those things, he'd still be there. You can't fuck with infinitely stronger powers and expect to get away with it.
