I will not go there. This is where I have chosen to be.

Turkey needs to give the Kurds an autonomous state and turn Turkey into a federation, similar to Russia. Except instead of having thousands of small autonomous states you have Turkey and Kurdistan. Win-win since many Kurds like living in Turkey and seem to have settled fairly well and Turks like the thought of an empire. Call it Ottoman as the last time, neutral and fair. Plus large parts of Europe would shit their pants as a result.

Long term benefits include eventually incorporating pieces of Iraq and Syria into the Kurdistan part, and some Turkic regions to the Turkish part. But as with everything it's easy to say from the outside looking in, like a "balkan federation" might sound good but be hated by the people living there.

Istanbul remaining as capital due to it being geopolitical gold (lol @ greeks) so the country functions as a single country with two major administrative "states".
