I dont see Merlin as Evil and he is a important figure in King Arthur. Was King Arthur a heathen or a christian king? I always thought its part of christianity

"Arthur" was a Roman-Briton military leader called Artorigios(bear king). It's not known if he was christian or pagan. Either way, the Saxons defeated the Britons and the supposed king anyway.

I see, well thats quiete the historical background but in legends he is sometimes seen as founder of Britain. There is a movie where he is roman and defeats the anglo-saxons.

It's just a movie. The legend is more of a Welsh legend than English.
