One thing I have increasingly noticed in this forum especially but also elsewhere, is that unless a Latin American looks more-or-less like Tilda Swinton or Nicole Kidman, people will look for (often limited or non-existent) admixture. Basically, if a Latin American has dark colouring, squinty eyes, high cheekbones etc, people automatically assume that the person has a lot of Amerindian admixture. On the other hand, an Anglo with those very same traits is usually handwaved as being 'Paleoatlantid', 'Alpinid' etc. etc. A couple of examples I have posted before of actresses who, if you changed their names and said they were from Monterrey or Medellin, people would say "looks mixed", "cannot pass in Europe" etc. etc.
