French are culturally closest to Italy, at least to the north.

Anyway, I am not a French, so my opinion doesn't count in the thread and am not going to vote
However, from my personal experience I would say northern Italy, Switzerland and Belgium, followed by Spain (mostly northern regions)
Germany is probably the last, even alsatia has something unfamiliar for the rest of the country

It really depends on the region of France like in the case of every country
