In my opinion, Boston is one of the most European cities in the United States. My uncle visited that city and said it looked like a British city culturally.
Boston is also one of the cities with the best quality of life in the United States, with almost no crime or much immigration.

And it happens that this city is whiter compared to many other Northern US cities. I hope it always stays like that.

Nice thread, amigo. I've been here for two years. I'm leaving soon, but I will miss this place. One of the few North American cities I can stand

I didn't know you were living in Boston. That's pretty cool man!

I feel envy for you, and I would be glad to live in there again, if I had the opportunity.

Yep, its a cool spot! There are not many other US cities I could live in. This is a VERY walkable city which I like, so many nice parks, hiking trails, music scene is cool (Berklee kids), many historical sites of interest, and what is cool is that you are always a short road trip away from going hiking or skiing in some nice mountains in Vermont or such. New England in general offers a lot, but I think Boston really puts you at a jumping point for everything around (other major cities on the east coast are only a few hours away by rail or car). That said, I really can't deal with the winters here jajajaja and its super expensive.

I will be going back to Spain at the beginning of 2022 since I'm just here for work, and while Boston is a nice city I do not want to raise my kid anywhere in gringolandia; no one wants the white version of the chicanos on this forum . Also, most of his family on both sides is in Spain (his mother is Catalan) which is always important for a kid, so while I'm leaving with a heavy heart, it also makes the most sense.

Yeah, I agree there is nothing like Spain

However, if I were condemned to stay in US forever, I would chose to live in Boston, or somewhere in New England, for being a place with a special culture/atmosphere that somewhat emulates Europe, and not being like the typical boring "all going by car" US North American city. You know what I mean.

Is an expensive city. Is all I can tell.

I was living in a relatively less expensive neighborhood, working hard and renting a room with my brother (we only used that room and a restroom within an apartment of a family that rented us the room) and splitting our payment between us both.
