Obviously, yeah. The two are objectively very closely related. Anecdotally, a very close friend of mine is Polish-American and has visited Poland once in his life - on that trip, he took a detour to the Czech border and could comprehend a lot of what the Czechs were saying.
The stress patterns are different - beginning of the word generally gets stressed in Czech and the penultimate syllable in Polish. This is a big thing which can make discerning word boundaries difficult.
