Default Latin Americans: post examples of Amerindians from whom your Amerindian ancestry comes from.

Most of Venezuela (except the Andes that were occupied by Timoto-Cuicas) was inhabited by tribes of two main Amerindian branches: Caribes and Arawaks. They look pretty about the same (racially very close to each other).

These are Venezuelan Amerindians (no matter which of those two branches they're from). They're all representative of the Amerindian ancestry that I have :

Post examples of Amerindians from your country, from whom your Amerindian ancestors come from.

Nairo Quintana looks close to a pure Amerindian type:

That's cool, but try to put crowds of Amerindians (if possible from Amerindian tribes) from your country that represent your Amerindian ancestry.

Is your Amerindian ancestry from the Colombian Andes?? If that's the case, they very likely were Centralids. Some Chibcha branch, I guess.

Yes, Chibchas I believe. My Colombian family originates from Boyaca though, which is where Quintana is from.

My indios ancestors fall into (before giant) Macro-Jê group of inner Brazil. The tribes of my region tend to have generic names as "Coroados" or "Puris". Now most of them are extinct or absorbed. This pic is what close to them:

unfortunately for me, we dont know how the taino-Arawaks really looked like

but according to historic evidence and DNA, we know that they were closely related to the wayuu or south American natives of venezuela, so my natives likely looked like yours alnortdelsur

    Yeah, I think so

Probably not exactly the same (but somewhat close), because as far as I know, the Caribbean islands were mostly populated by Amerindians coming from Venezuela, but those Islands (including La Hispaniola) also received some waves of Amerindians coming from what today is Florida (and not sure if Yucatan, as well).

So more likely, the Amerindians from the Caribbean islands (including La Hispaniola) were a mixture of the Amerindians coming from Venezuela, plus Amerindians originating in today's Florida, who were absorbed by the Amerindians coming from Venezuela.

i agree, though the natives of florida is strongest in Cuba

also i have to add that there's also a relation with the mayans so yeah ur right about the yucatan as its close proximity with cuba like a bridge heading down to both Xamaica (Jamaica) & Quisqeya (Hispaniola)

the caribbean as a whole has all three North, Central, and South American Natives but in the case of me & Taiguaitiaoghrymmumin (DR & PR) we have more relation with South American Natives
