Toddler survives being run over twice after darting into traffic

Heart-stopping footage shows the moment a two-year-old girl is inches away from being killed after running into traffic.
The toddler survived being run over twice in a matter of seconds, getting low enough to avoid being hit by both cars.



The clip shows her running out into the busy street in Xichang, China.



As she gets close to the first car, the vehicle appears to brake – but is not able to stop before running her over.



The young girl can briefly be seen cowering on the tarmac before a second car, whose driver clearly doesn’t see her at all, driving over the top of her.



But incredibly she was unhurt, and moments later two women follow her onto the road to check if she is hurt.



The girl’s family said she suddenly darted away from her grandmother, who is one of the women seen following her into the road.
Doctors said she escaped serious injury, only suffering a bruised forehead.

I held my breath throughout the video finally breathing a sigh of relief at the end. Thankfully, she escaped with no serious injuries. Guardians should never let young children run out of sight. I hope the child's grandparents have learned to be more careful next time just as I learned that made in China can be ultra durable.

Toddlers shouldn't have the opportunity to run into the traffic to start off with. Keep them on a leash!
