well im not one of them, but it strikes you right in the face, first i thought that when i saw the sex scene between the blonde alexander and the mullato woman. many people of colour and feminists often talked about sexualisation of women of colour, and it striked me right in the face. how the white heroe saves the coloured women or subjugates them sexually/dominates them. the other way around it would be blasphemy at least traditionally.

Well what you were witnessing was the liberal Hollywood "white savior complex". You see, something has developed among white liberals over the years. It's the desire to be the white savior and save the colored people from any ills. But what's happening here is by doing this, they indirectly send a message to colored people that you can't save yourselves so you need saving. Meanwhile, white conservatives are asking them what the hell are you doing.

im not sure if this is liberal really. not truly liberal. once i watched a movie about a english woman in thailand who teaches the king of thailand to write and read etc. the thais were also depicted as backward and savage, and the english woman was strong and dominant, and dominated the thai king (eventhough he was a king and she was just a ordinary teacher). she was also smarter then the thais.

Yes, I believe these liberal Hollywood films are often biased in some sort of way. I'm a conservative, so usually their belief is the opposite of mine. But they feature the white savior complex all the time in American films. Also, they push interracial relationships and sex way more than what is real. They are not happy the west is diverse now, they have to make them all mix into some super race. They know the more you see an image, the more you accept it. So that's why it's in everything now. well i thought the oppossite back in the ninenties when i used to watch much TV all the sitcoms were segregated, either all black or all white. now i noticed a bit more mix in the sitcoms like baby dady where there is a black guy in the white cast, but i dont watch as much TV anymore.
