Default Western Euro ancient DNA: The Beaker Phenomenon And The Genomic Transformation Of Northwest Europe

New big study with western Euro DNA was released two days ago.

    Few main points:
-Spread of R1b in western Europe was started by Bell Beakers. Complete turnover of population happened, as none of 25 Neolithic samples in Britain bore R1b. There was one G2a sample found among Bell Beakers in Germany, and several I2a2 among them.

-There was only I2 found in Neolithic England and Scotland, mostly I2a1b (M423), with I2a2, meaning Neolithic invasions had no impact on male lineage of Britain.

-There was I2a2 CTS616>Y3721>Y3670>L1229 branch found among Bell Beakers in Hungary. That branch is present entirely in British Isles today. Considering there was substantial amount of I2a2 found in earlier studies among IE cultures, it seems that it was absorbed in steppe quite early and spread westwards, and that Bell Beaker I2a2 was far removed from older NW European I2a2, let alone native I2a1b (M423).

Maybe that explains why I get a lot of Hungary (and Ural area) ancient DNA hits on gedmatch despite having no East Euro ancestry and having significant British/Irish ancestry.
