A mod closed the thread as I completed my post and so I'll just post it here.
That's their choice to make. Maybe it does suck? Would you not agree that dressing up boys as girls and fucking them is far more than just being lame but disgusting? Is that a cultural habit that is centuries years old you wouldn't end if you could? Do you find blood feuds to be as lame as I do? Do you think I want to dress like this all day?People in my country have given up traditional clothing except for traditional functions in most urban areas since British times (and I consider it a loss of culture) . But, I am both Canadian and Bengali by culture, so it wouldn't matter anyway in terms of me individually. I would've liked if those customs had stayed intact though however but unfortunately they hadn't. Although Like for e.g. a hundred years later, traditional Bengali clothing completely dissapears from the landscape, then it'd be a very bad thing. It'd usher the beginning of a loss of identity.

It's 'not really their culture' because you disapprove but you don't want to admit that some cultural habits are disgusting and so not all cultural values are worth preserving. You can't have it both ways and, um, yes it's part of their culture. Here is a shocker: a cultural trait can be morally degenerate to you because it offends your values but morally acceptable to the person who doing the act.That's not really their culture. That's moral degeneration. The Pashtun tribal code doesn't call for things like that. Even the Taliban were against the practice.
This is a cultural habit that has existed for centuries and although it's very cute in a child-like way that you think just because something is outlawed on paper (because it offended religious sensibilities) it means that it's enforced.

Japanese are strict on immigration and by strict I mean only 0.5% of the population is foreign born and by foreign I mean Japanese-Brazilians, Koreans, and sprinkling of other groups.
