How come men move on so fast after a break-up?

I am addressing the phenomenon of rushing into a new relationship after the dissolution of an old one.

Even if I know that men aren’t the only ones guilty of this relationship ricochet, I've noticed that they are, by far, the most-likely to engage in this particular type of reactionary behaviour.

So, what causes men to so quickly move from a break-up with a woman to the arms of another one?

I beg to differ. Even research shows that whilst women may remain celibate for a period of time after a breakup men are more likely to engage in sexual relationships following a breakup. But why? Is that a kind of coping mechanism or what?

Can you post that study? Cause to this day all i have met in personal life (friends, relatives, myself etc) is the exactly opposite

the only thing i have to admit is that the more a woman is ignored to a man, the more possible it is for her to stick on him, it's a survival mechanism

Women in general have much larger social networks and they have access to a prolific number of sex partners at any given time, so long as they are nubile (teens - 39 and sometimes beyond). They keep several potential male mates around (in the PUA scene, these men are called "orbiters") to fall back on if their current relationship goes south. It is women who move on quickly, not men.
