when her grand-father and i adopted her
(in san francisco, of course),
she - unsurprisingly - already had a name.
his ex-daughter-in-law (the child-abandoner) is responsible
for the girl-child's lovely name.
tangentially,
one of the training techniques used on my employees
works equally well on the girl-child.
