The arrticle says that the Vikings may not have been the first people to discover Iceland, Greenland and Canada. I think they were the discoverers because roman coins have been found in Iceland and Canada.

Ultimately there's no real proof as the article even pointed out. Only non-amerindian group actually proven beyond a doubt to have discovered the americas before Columbus is the Vikings.
