Also, a dramatic difference between football and other team sports, is that the bad team can win or at least equal a game addopting a defensive game, in rugby, basketball or handball invariabily always the best team wins, there´s no epic at all except if both teams have equal level.

Not so. Welsh player Hallam Amos had THREE tries disallowed against Uruguay in the World Cup:

Circular argument - if more countries became competitive and enthusiastic about the other sports, then the matches would become more competitive and less predictable.

meh' it would take a lot of marketing for Rugby to replace Soccer simply because its not as marketable. The popularity of a sport solely depends on how much money it can generate. Soccer isnt any more special than any other sport.

PS: Not many people are going to watch Rugby over American football here in N America.

    Nonsense statement.

For example, now, in a rugby confrontation Spain could win 1 time each 100 matches New Zealand.

In football, despite the huge level difference and that it is a very minoritary sport, New Zealand has chances of equal or even win Spain.

So, it helped Uruguay to win? In football there would be a high probability, that after 3 failed goal moments of stronger team, "underdog" would have good chances for their goal moments and probably chances to win.

No, but it helped Uruguay lose less badly.
