Guy on far left of first pic is just why I say they don't look Sicilian. He looks more like a Med type of Bulgarian.

The women all look pan-European but toward the southern half.

Weird thing here is - both sets of photos are from the same town of some 3,000 people.. so how can you put one set of people on one spectrum and the other on a separate spectrum albeit they probably have been living in the same area since time immemorial?

They don't look like Jews, Sicilians, Cypriots or Cretans is my point. Attribute the cause to whatever you like.
