Hindus and Roma have welcomed Hindu descent Dr. Leo Varadkar, 38, on being in line to become the youngest and 13th Prime Minister (Taoiseach) of Ireland

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, urged Varadkar to work with Roma and Travellers to enable them to be empowered as distinct ethnic peoples in face of blatant discrimination and social exclusion.

Had no idea that Indians existed there. Isn't Ireland a more homogeneous country?

Though, an Irish guy became famous here for taking down a bunch of unfriendly salesmen by himself and then turned out to be of Arab descent. I guess they are more 'multicultural' than I had imagined.

Also I believe the politicians should put their people above everything, not their corresponding ethnic group. Ethnic politics should come to an end. You have to be assimilated into the society and generate policies within this context.

What white nationalists? No one in Ireland has batted an eyelid. As Bobby Martnen has pointed out he is Catholic and although half-Indian very much Irish and has done a good job for Ireland with the Brexit negotiations re the Irish border and also the Common Travel Area between Britain and Ireland although both the British and Irish wanted to keep this.

Exactly. I have nothing against people of (partial) non-European roots as long as they are fully assimilated and follow the local religion. A half-Indian Catholic who was raised in the culture is a lot different than the hordes of Islamic migrants and their descendants that are refusing to assimilate stubbornly like a buffalo.

He's very pro-Irish. Also one of Ireland's most famous Prime Ministers Eamon De Valera was half Spanish and born in New York and was hyper Irish.
