I also think true "Iranid" is very rare in West Turkey. Most people there are East Med.
North East part are more Caucasid and Pontid.
Interesting, that North East Turkey is the most fascist and nationalistic.
How it became that, Laz are more patriots of Turkey, than real Turks???

The Afghan was never in Turkey, just like some Iranians do in the forum he just talks with aim association with Turks. We have nothing to do with Pashtuns or Persians or Iranians save religion maybe.

Not Rize and Artvin They hate Kurds tho but this is hardly Turkish nationalism. Due to struggle between Turks and Greeks, the identity of Laz was blessed by Young Turks and Atatürk Republic 100 years ago, your brother acts like someone important because that legacy. Its time for change.

We don't want Trabzon, it is not ours.
Oshki, the biggest monastery and cultural center in south Georgian kingdom of Tao, was built between 963 and 973.

Trabzon area might be lightest but they would not have the most European features. That would be in the west.

There is no genetic continuity between Turkey and other Med countries, Western Turks are very Central Asian shifted genetically, even more so than Central Turks, so your assumption that West Turkey is "east med" is utterly wrong.

They aren't Turkish nationalists, they are somewhat racist towards Kurds, that's all.

Northeast Turkey is genetically the most southern shifted region on PCAs, Laz people are genetically somewhere in between Armenians and Georgians, Basal Eurasian or whatever you call it peaks in Northeast Turkey. Georgians, Armenians, Laz; all of these populations have more Basal Eurasian admixture than ethnic Turks.

Bosniaks are the lightest community in Turkey. Laz people have Armenoid-like features even though they are usually light skinned.

This is not "Arabian" admixture and the map is outdated as hell (probably based on Dodecad spreadsheets). Georgians have more SW Asian admixture than North Caucasians. I can prove it posting data from a hundred spreadsheets.

All components should be taken into account when making comparisons by the way.
