Wandered in to see what's going on..

Someone over at World Affairs Board mentioned this place. I thought I'd drop in and see what's happening.

It all looks quite intriguing. So much of what I've found in my avataristic travels has been either so USA-centric or USA-inimical.

Perhaps I've been looking in the wrong places.

Both of My paternal great-grandfathers came from Norway (Ranum & Melby). The rest of my Antecedents came from all over - quite a few from merry olde England, before that nasty bit of business in 1776.

I'm a Travelling Respiratory Therapist by trade-I co-host a radio talk show part-time, collect books, and hunt for fun. I like motorcycles, politics, and apocalyptic literature (particularly pre-1700).

All three of my children are grown up. One daughter (daddy's girl!) and two sons-both served/serving in the USAF.

Have you ever tried to summarize yourself and wound up depressed?

I don't know Tankie personally. Ask him anything you want-He isn't shy at all.

The Nickname is Phonetic; 2-D-REZ-Q = To The Rescue. I use it many places (try a Google search.) Over the years it has been my privilege to contribute to saving many lives and ease the suffering of many others. I used to be called to the Emergency Room at rural small hospitals at all hours of the night. For many years my Jeep wore the License 2DREZQ - if you saw me coming in a hurry, you knew something was up.
Also, I have a reputation for heading afield in severe weather to rescue people stranded or broken-down and in danger. I carry all sorts of recovery/rescue gear everywhere I go and pay a penalty in gas consumption-because to properly stick your nose into other peoples trouble you sometimes need a four-wheel-drive.

I'm not really bragging-I just like helping people. I learned as a child that any man in peril is my brother, and I have a moral obligation to help when I can.

LOL Each and every day dear man, each and every day. Try reinventing yourself and then having to summarize yourself. It gets even more depressing.
