The Norwegian in my family is on the distaff side. My mother was born in Stavanger. According to my Y-DNA, my old man must have been a space alien.

I suppose that, being always on the move, you wouldn't find it convenient to belong to a lodge, but, if, as you seem to be, you're interested in your Norwegian heritage, Sons of Norway would welcome you.

I'm a Life Member of Sons of Norway.[They don't have them any more. They seem to think that it's too expensive to send us Viking magazine every month gratis.] I'm also a Past President of my local lodge, Hartford, No. 474.

I think you'd enjoy Sons of Norway's activities, so you might consider joining it sometime. From your posts so far, you seem to ba a very interesting person. I'll be looking forward to your contributions to our discussions.
