Default MyHeritage result from Salento, Apulia region, Italy

This is as I suspected. Apulia is the most Greek part of Italy. She posted this on Instagram so I don't need to blur the name, her page is public.

Spagna can be sephardic surname, like in the case of this woman.

    I think so.
Still it is interesting to see that she's close to 3/4 Greek. The Apulians I've seen so far lack the Middle East component and are more Greek than even the Sicilians.

people frome Taranto (aka "Taras") are dirict descendents of Spartans if there wasn t a re-people or people shifting changing there. it seems not.

I think southern Apulia as a whole is fairly Greek in ancestry. There wasn't much influence from anyone else and they only stopped speaking Greek recently.

What does she score on 23andme? I don't think the Sephardi is real Jewish rather some shared mediterranean ancestry between Southern Italians and Jewish populations. (Keep in mind that Jews have significant Southern and Central European admixture)

Her surname Spagna tells where Sephardi Jews traditionally resided: Spain and Portugal.

Her surname implies Sephardi ancestry from Spain.

On 15 August 927, the Saracens, led by the Slavic Sabir, conquered and destroyed Taranto, enslaving and deporting to North Africa all the survivors. Taranto had no inhabitants, until the Roman re-conquest in 967.
