At one time, this was Sweden's Upper House (the Första kammaren - or First Chamber) until the Social Democrats got rid of (and of the former lower house of the Riksdag - the Andra kammaren - Second Chamber) it in 1970 in order to unite it into a unicameral parliament and consolidate their own power:

Here have Tacitus (perhaps the greatest of Rome's historians) describing to us his knowledge of the lands of the Swedes, Aestii and Sitones - modern day Scandinavia (and the lands across the Baltic Sea). Ancestors of the Vikings, Tacitus gives us a description of a people with no right to bear arms, and who in the far north of the lands live in a matriarchal society.

The Saab J35 Draken

http://saabgroup.com/Media/stories/st... The Saab 35 fighter aircraft started being planned as a replacement for the J 29 Tunnan in the autumn of 1949 under the leadership of Erik Bratt. The Swedish defence materiel procurement authority required the aircraft to perform at high supersonic speeds and be able to engage targets at high altitudes.

Thanks for finding my video and pressing play! I was in Gothenburg in 2016 and noticed a strange-looking airline with odd “rainbow” style tail fins. I found out they were BRA Braathens Regional Airlines, a small domestic carrier operating mostly within Sweden from their hub at Bromma. So, naturally, I had to try them. At around £100 one way this was by no means a cheap flight. These Gothenburg to Stockholm shuttles are meant for the business traveller and priced accordingly. The flight was full of people off to do a day’s business in Sweden’s capital. However, even given the price, I was still impressed by their service standard. This is an airline that knows who its customers are and the product is sensible and thoughtful. There’s even a breakfast served on the flight, a coffee and drinks service, a hot towel and a second drinks run. Very impressive on a flight of under an hour. Of course, the real highlight for me was an opportunity to fly one of these old RJ aircraft again. I can remember when they were the staple of BA Cityflyer flights from London City back when I was starting my flying addiction. They’re a fun aircraft to fly. A bit cramped, but their uniqueness ensures charm overrides pragmatism for me. Make sure you have your notifications set! �� Enjoy the report.

In this video, join me on a 55 minute flight between Gothenburg Landvetter, Sweden and Copenhagen Kastrup, Denmark. This was my first flight with SAS and I was impressed. I really liked their lounge concept, which you will see towards the start of the video. The flight was operated by a Jet Time ATR 72, my favourite short haul prop aircraft.
