I don't know, but I can say having been around different groups I notice differences.

People of North European descent often do have a greasy sort of smell reminiscent of some kind of bologna or raw chicken. South Euros and Levantines get garlicky and onion like when sweaty. Black people smell leathery.

Maybe body reactions to certain foods can have an effect. Southern Euros use lots of olive oil and garlic, so maybe our bodies have evolved with these foods in mind.

Mongols have around ~10% of Caucasoid (Western Eurasian) admixture.

So they are probably a bit more smelly than the Chinese and Japanese.
