I like both equally. I'd love to have a preserve of varied breeds (lions, tigers, panthers, oh my!), but I'm afraid that they'd see me as cat chow.

Tigers all a way
Male lions opposite will give a vision of some lazy fat sultans (with harem around more than any kind of noble ''King on jungles'').
Plus I do not like lions type of living that much either. New males will try to beat the old one and if succeed then kill all the kitties.
Tigers opposite will live and hunt alone (except short mating period). I'm introvert too. Tigers are cool bit cats.

All the Felidae species are solitary except Lions who live in prides. So Lions are atypical among cats, they're more social/extroverted.
