    If it's sourced (credible source) that's a different matter but I noticed a few times when looking through wikipedia a claim footnoted isn't found in the source cited. I think it's people who add their own ideas or edit out parts without deleting the footnote but don't add a new footnote if they have a source. This isn't an issue with the hard sciences. It's an issue with everything else where people have strong opinions.
