Do people living there use this names to describe themselves?
And why almost everything is written as a noun describing region?

On the polish map all ethnografic groups are described as groups:
Górale, Kurpie, Kaszubi, Poborzanie aso, sometimes it is even not
known, whoch should sound eventual name for their small country
