Fuckkkkk brah. I'm going there in like two weeks... Why does the world hate me???
Any geology experts here that knows what the likely aftermath is in the following weeks? Is this making it less likely for a 2nd earthquake or more likely?

Any strong earthquake in the Med sea will take first Alexandria and northern Egyptian Delta first

I don't think anyone can predict earthquakes. I lived there first 18 years of my life and only remember one bad one. Personally speaking you have a better chance of getting hurt by a motorist than an earthquake

You never know with earthquakes. All my life I lived in very seismic places, but I'm safe. I doubt that there will be another big one so soon, but you really never know.

I'm sad that there are already 2 victims and many injured. The victims are a Turk and a Swedish. RIP

theres an earthquake every month here in my place . nobody got injured , it all depends on the intensity and the building quality.

as long as you stay in a newly built hotel you're safe.

RIP to two tourist victims in the Greek side. Turkish touristic place Bodrum was severely shaken, fortunately no loss. Izmir also had been having a series of shakings, people fear these all hint at a big one.

Remember the earthquake diplomacy between Greece and Turkey in 1990s. Both countries were hit one after another and they helped each other recover.

Why do Turks always mention this, as if it is something extraordinary?

Yes, both countries helped each other because both countries were struck by it and the earthquakes happened in place where both Greece and Turkey could send help. It's not rocket science.

Yea but the relations were tense due to the Aegean Sea dispute and even at the brink of hot conflict.

Anyways why did it irritate you?
