Maybe. I agree though about Albanian always being distinct from Greek and gaining Greek influence from later times

Because Greek is the mother language of PIE and most languages, while Albanian has more loanwords than any other European language.

According to the top Greek professors the modern Greek language was created by Germans in the 19th century. Prior to that people in modern day Greece never spoke Modern Greek. So without a doubt Albanian is older.

The ancient Greek scripts actually have meaning in Albanian while in modern Greek they mean nothing.

Greek isnt the mother language of PIE. The only major loan words in Albanian are from Latin, don't exaggerate, languages like English for example have far more loanwords as it can't even be called exactly Germanic due to the massive amount of Latin in it

What is surprising is how little the Greek language is influenced by Slavic considering much of northern and inland Greece was Slavic speaking as recently as 150 years ago.

Come on bro, you can do better than rely on Raine's words, she's epitome of stupidity here. (Just see what she claims above)

I agree with Sikeliot however, there some substance and logic that Albanian along with Greek had close affinity at distant period of time, this also concern all languages that were spoken during bronze or iron age in Balkans after that we had some latin influence with Romans.

True Raine clearly doesn't know what she is on about for example she said that our language has the most loan words lol when everyone knows that its English which is basically a creole of French and old English. Our language as of know seems to be closer to Germanic or Balto-Slavic apparently than Greek and not to mention how more related our language is to Romanian but I maybe wrong

Lol you must dumb beyond belief to make such a moronic comment.

Homeric Greek is more similar to modern Greek than Shakesperean English is to modern English.

    It is a living language.

German was created out of Byzantine Greek.

Are you actually being serious? German comes from the Germanic branch not Greek, stop this bullshit Greek isn't the mother of all languages like how you like to claim
