    That's not what the priest says at all.

    It says that Arvanites are descendants of the Ancient Epirote tribe of Molosoi and cites as evidence that 40% of Arvanitika were composed of Greek words 200 years ago and were mutually intelligible by other Greek speakers.

    Those Ancient Epirote tribes spoke the North-West dialect of Greek, and their names, toponyms and material culture is 100% Greek.
