Honestly I consider slavery to be one of the best things to ever happen to blacks and worst things to ever happen to white Americans. Black people greatly benefitted from slavery because they are now in the United States rather than Africa.

White people on the other hand are greatly harmed by slavery because, well, it caused black people to be in the US rather than Africa. If it weren't for slavery America's black population would be about 1% or 2% rather than 13%. Imagine the reductions in crime, welfare costs, incarceration costs and social disorder if the US' black population was basically non existent. Which would be the case if it weren't for slavery.

This is such an odd Outlook to have on history. I am pretty confident, you wouldn't like to endure slavery, no liberty or human rights, endure any kind of brutality, get treated worse than animal/like property, all so your descendants could maybe, just maybe, enjoy a better life some 400 years later. Would you?
