The group she belongs is one of the most West Eurasian shifted groups in South Asia. Some of them can have European phenotypes.

These people are all South Asians (North Indians/Pakistanis) and they can be quite close of the lightest West Asians and Europeans in their overall look. The reason is that both North India and Pakistan (actually they are very similar, they are different countries for political/religious reasons) have a high quantity of West Eurasian ancestry and some groups there even have more Steppe/Indo-European ancestry than some European groups.

Well I made that statement because she does look very similar to Europeans, much more than I've personally seen before among Indians. But I can understand that it's possible that some Indians can resemble Europeans, especially since there are proto-Caucasoid relations between Europeans and Indians in an ancient partial common ancestry.

But I just mentioned British and Portuguese because I knew they were there and we don't know whats in her family tree, so I said it's possible. But if you think otherwise, I can accept alternate explanations. What is your theory of the pseudo-European phenotype that she has?

Thanks for posting. It's amazing the similarities in some of them to Europeans. But like you mention, we do know there is a high degree of West Eurasian ancestry in them. But I guess it makes sense considering the fact that Europeans and South Asians have ancient proto-Caucasoid common ancestry. Good post, bro.

Yes, Europeans and South Asians share some ancestry. But this phenotype is quite uncommon there, I have obviously cherrypicked some of the lightest individuals. The curious fact is that in the same families they seem to have people looking like complete different races, like Haley's parents (Argentano posted them in this thread), they look more stereotypical Indian and she looks closer to Europeans... I think it can happens in a lot of places with very diverse genetics. In MENA countries and in Latin America I see the same thing happening. Even these lighter than average South Asians I posted could have close relatives looking way more darker than them.

Yes true. The West Eurasian in them can be resurfacing strongly in a minority of individuals from South Asia. And I agree, I can see it also in peoples across many ethnic groups across the world, such as in Levantines, there are many that could pass as Europeans or like in Latin America or other regions. Genetics are random and truly amazing. Human genetics are like scooping a cup full of random colored marbles from a bowl of random colored marbles. Don't know how many greens, reds, blues or yellows you'd get.

These are Buroshus, Pashtuns and Tajiks, they have nothing to do with Indians. Post some real ones.

Except the blonde Tajik girl, none of them can pass European.

White or not, she has a very "annoying" kind of look to her. Maybe it's my bias towards her politics. But also her mannerisms. Not very polite or diplomatic. And she's a diplomat. Supposed to be, anyway.
