Origin of the Blonde Berbers (?)

Rarer today, but at one point the Berbers were known for light features - even more so than Southern Europeans during the same period! What could have caused this, given blonde hair likely mutated in NE Europe?

I'm aware and said that they are rare today, but that wasn't always the case. They used to be a lot lighter. And regardless, the presence of brown hair indicates blonde alles, as brown hair can basically be thought of as diluted blonde, so where the hell did these alleles come from?

The question was if some berber tribe didn't assimilate some europeans slaves.

No clue were the thread was and the historical accuracy of it.

Would have nothing to do with that as that cave painting is about 3000 years old IIRC, and the mosaics are from before the Moor slave trade.

Amazigh were never light.
But there did lived some IE tribes from different sources like ancient V88 migration,
Sea People who settled in Cyrenayka, Probably some Celts or Luzitans could migrate
there, Greeks, Romans, Vandals, alans, later even Slavs.
And this is basically the source of lightness in Sahara...

This first picture belonged probably too first V88 migration from Iberia.
