Keep it about topic here only, and factual. Questions and opinions on the facts presented here only. Otherwise this thread will go south when it actually deserves to be explained and discussed. Could change opinion on modern Greeks now

Arvanites back then could be said the same of Albanians in Greece today with similar if not equal percentages.
Albanians in Greece today are being self Hellenised (re-Hellenised?) without anyone saying a word to them - why is that.......

Their conclusion are incorrect, they don't derive ~70+ of their ancestry from ancients, maybe only some islanders to some extent but even then it's an exaggeration.
What this papers fails to mentions is why modern mainland Greeks cluster with Albanian and south Slavs like Bulgarians.
Anyway, all in all the only thing that actually connects them to ancients seems to be J2a. So J2a folks are the real Greeks, hear hear

I'm not able to find anything specific on just how similar the modern Greeks are with the ancient Greeks. And where the similarities are the strongest, and where they are the weakest.
There's too many question marks here. Genetic continuity could mean just about anything. If your 100 last generations backwards have all been consisting of your Greek maternal ancestors being dicked down by slavs, you'd still have Greek genetic continuity. Give me more detail. So imagine now that 30% of all the dicking in Greek genetic history was done by BaltoSlavic peoples, is that how this should be understood? And how come none can be acclaimed to Albanians when we know of pretty major migrations, which ended up in quite a few mixed relationships. Are we too similar genetically? Then what's the point with the continuity claim if it could refer to all balkan peoples?
So many questions here, if anyone can answer one or all that'd be appreciated.
