I am not, that I am aware of, an Arvanite. Genetically, I am pretty close to a Cretan (or Sicilian as you can see above). Ancestor-wise I hail from Chios, with some ancestors coming from Ikaria. Also the other side, the heart of the Morea, in Arcadia...no Arvanites in my family tree that I know of, but I wouldnt mind.

You are just outside of the large Sicilian/Aegean/Jewish cluster. You do plot near the people of southeast Sicily who also just leave that cluster.

Why does the Crete_Armenoi sample (M293012) no longer work on Gedmatch? Also, it already shows a lot of eastern European DNA, perhaps disproving the modern Greeks have Slavic DNA.
