Nothing to be sorry of, my post will be adressed to you, Grace and everyone as well. I meant that darker pheno is not such big deal to pass in a country or not IMO. I said that because I am a bit tired of these forum contests and complexes such as "who is whiter than X", "who is darker / lighter" bla bla bla... Pigmentation is not the main element to me to determine where someone is from, features overall have to be considered (nose shape, eye shape, lips, face shape, pheno, etc). That's why if someone from Portugal or Ireland says he has not Irish (or anything else) features overally speaking, I guess they know better than us what Irish / Portuguese etc look like. I was just pointing out that only pigmentation is not enough to say he cannot pass
He still looks atlantid with keltid nordid admix or something to me, not that dark. You find in Eastern France area (close to the Rhine river) dark phenos as well, they are not med ethnically speaking. They are germanic with ancient celtic mainly. Also in Southern western Germany I read once there is very dark pheno, a german dark one. I know one german from this place, people think usually he is spanish because really dark (skin, hair, eyes) with wavy hair. But he is only native german from there, nothing spanish at all. Also it is known many scandos can tan very easily and get dark golden tan during summer (contrasting with their light features for eyes and hair). BTW I noticed North Western people have mainly fair skin (as me) getting freckles and burning easily, not able to tan. It does not mean some aren't able to tan like scandos or have darker skin tone.
People have expectations about pigmentations, dark phenos are always associated with southern countries and light ones with Northern europe but it's not that simple IMO. You find dark phenos in central and eastern europe as well, just for examples. There I would agree with Grace saying it can be more continental input. Not southern specially. I'm just tired that people think : dark pheno = southern europe. You find as well light phenos in southern europe, just saying

Dark phenotypes exist everywhere in Europe, don't focus on pigmentation ! Cheers <3
