I was talking to my significant other last night (who is of southern and eastern European descent) who said they dont consider us interracial. I've asked this question here before a year ago, but the forum crashed and wiped it out. I haven't ever thought about it again until last night when I was talking to my significant other. Do you consider mena and euro couples interracial or not?

I think it depends. Half Lebanese? No, I don't consider that interracial, really. Half Saudi or Afghan, I would.

I'm genetically closer to white americans than Lebanese people are. Not by that much, but still. On PCA, I plot closer to NW euros more than majority of MENAs do.

But most of the time, for me the answer is no.
if a lebanese marry a german, the children would still be white for me.

MENA is a vague term, and I'm coming from an American perspective where most west asians are thrown under the term. I certainly have more to do with Persians and Turks than some North African Egyptian does, so the term is pretty fluid and can include Afghans in many cases.
