It depends. You have to grow with your age, so that you can gracefully enter each stage of your life. No one stays in their 20s forever. No one can live a carefree, party lifestyle forever. You will gain responsibilities, but if you play your cards right, you can have a pretty self-satisfying future as you age. Either that's from a successful career, raising a family or just finding deeper self-understanding and being more comfortable in your own skin.

OP, your obsession with age is not healthy. The reason why you're so frightful of it is because you're not busy improving yourself. Instead you seem to be caught up in some kind of social isolation or fear of the outside world. You won't be able to grow with your age this way and settle into a healthy state of mind. I think you should reflect on this and change your habits, which when they get settled, can be very damaging.

I wouldn't say it gets better or worse, but your priorities change. What was important to me at 17 is no longer important to me at 37. I'm sure that in 20 years from now it will have changed again.

I was extremely emotionally volatile in my teens and it was a nightmare being me, but the teenage angst went away when I was no longer a teen and had different priorities. Today I no longer care whether the popular boy looks at me (he's probably an old fat 37 with three kids by now anyway). What matters now is sustaining an income in order to pay off my house. This was an inconceivable situation for me when I was 17. 20 years from now, when I'm 57, I'll probably be concerned about whether my retirement fund is going to pay out the way they promised me when I took out the policy when I was 24.

So no, it doesn't become better or worse. It just becomes different.
Isn't it weird how fast time goes by? If you're 37 now, that means that you were still in your 20s in 2007, and while 2007 was 10 years ago, it feels like it was only 5 years ago.

YES ! The "Golden Years" are anything but. Old age is a time of deterioration and loss. There are a couple of lines from "The Student Prince" which are appropriate: "Golden days, in the sunshine of our happy youth.......................Golden days when we're
    YOUNG !"
"This is not my time; this is not my world; these are not my people." - Martin H. Francis

"There is only one inborn error, and that is the notion that we exist in order to be happy... So long as we persist in this inborn error... the world seems to us full of contradictions. For at every step, in things great and small, we are bound to experience that the world and life are certainly not arranged for the purpose of maintaining a happy existence... hence the countenances of almost all elderly persons wear the expression of what is called disappointment." --Arthur Schopenhauer

Schopenhauer was such a cool thinker first of all.

it would be a good thing for me if someone relies on me, i cant bear aging i feel suicidal whenever i look at the mirror but if i have to live for someone else and not for myself , as i wont be happy knowing that i am slowly dying i already am not, i might exist/live for a longer period of time
